Brunching at Lucky's Café (Cleveland, Ohio)

Lucky’s Café, located in Tremont, Ohio, is a cute, little neighborhood hub. Tremont and Ohio City have been steadily rising as culinary and shopping spots (think Momocho, Le Petit Triangle, Evie Lou, and many, many more). Don’t be fooled by the name – while you can grab a cup of coffee and pastry, Lucky’s offers attentive table service with amazing dishes. We went for brunch (obviously).

My brunch entrée choice differs per menu. I usually sway sweet, but if there’s an amazing salty/savory offering, you can bet your bottom dollar I will dump the usual French toast/Belgian waffle choice. Which is exactly what happened at Lucky’s.

Backed-Mac-N-Cheese

I ordered the Baked-Mac-N-Cheese. LIFECHANGING. Lucky’s has mastered the crispy, baked top while retaining the creaminess of the majority of the dish. I honestly don’t even remember what the apple sauce tasted like, but I’m sure it was good.

Omelette

Waffles

My friends ordered the omelette and the waffles. I would definitely get the waffles (the little bit I tried was amazing). To be completely honest, I’m usually never tempted to order any type of eggs at a restaurant. If I had to choose an egg-based dish, I would go completely typical and choose Eggs Benedict.

Restaurant – Lucky’s Cafe
Price Point – entrées are around $13-$15. I personally thought this was a little expensive for a place that has “café” in it’s name. But, the food is amazing. They don’t have prices on their website, so you kind of go in blind.
Location – 777 Starkweather, Cleveland Ohio 44113
Atmosphere - Casual. Indoor seating

Food - Above average. Manageable portions (I took some of the Backed-Mac-N-Cheese home, but my friends finished their entrees). I 1000000% would reorder the Baked-Mac-N-Cheese.
